Organizations
Associated with DWI Law, Defense, or Help
There are many organizations involved with DWI issues. Many have already
been noted in this site. Others are included in the links section.
Obviously, participation in different organizations is important, both from the
standpoint of becoming more proficient in defending clients and in the effort
to enable adoption of fairer laws. Both county and state bar associations
have active municipal court committees which can be an excellent source of
information as to DWI issues.
In
addition to these Bar Associations, many other organizations deal with
DWI issues. These include the American Trial Lawyers Association and
the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The Association for
Criminal Defense Lawyers - New Jersey and New Jersey State Bar
Association have taken an active part in the pending matter of State
v. Chun, having been admitted as Amicus Curiae to assist the Court
in its findings of law and fact.
For those of us who
have significant interest in DWI defense, various other organizations
are available in dealing with these specific issues.
